Its IHSW Time...

This weekend is the 'International Hermit Stitch Weekend' and I am hoping to achieve some major stitching this weekend as I have not achieve much this week.  I have finally managed to complete half of my current page of stitching.

This is the progress of Sadness of Gaia before the 'IHSW' starts...

I have dedicated a lot of hours to my Polish this week about 3 to 4 hours per day, I came across a new way of learning, which is to listen to audio books and read the same books, details can be found hereyou listen to the book and then read the book marking the words you dont know and then looking them up and making them into flashcards, which you then learn and review each day.

It was recommended to listen/ read Harry Potter but I didn't want to read them again so I chose two I have read before... Bared to you and Reflected in You by Sylvia Day, my aim 'to be able to read well enough to read the third book in Polish and understand it'...(I have not read the third book Entwined with You).

Bared to You or Dotyk Crossa...
Well I tired this new method for two days and I got so frustrated with myself...I ended up in tears on the phone to Rafal, as I felt that I wasn't learning anything...The reason is I had chosen a book with a very high reading level (Harry Potter has a reading level of aged 9).  So I have now decided to start again on Monday reading Fifty Shades of Grey or Pięćdziesiąt twarzy Greya (is has a reading level of age 13), so it should be a lot easier to read this trilogy...

My aim is the same but first I need to start with the Grey Trilogy and move onto the Cross Trilogy... So follow my progress 'here'

I wish everyone a great weekend and I'll be back with my IHSW progress on Monday...

  1. How is your Polish coming along? Does the new book work better for you? I find it a very hard language to learn.
It's been a while since I visited your site, but I see you're making great progress!!
